In 1997 the name was changed to R&K Packaging, Inc. but remained incorporated in Utah.
It has since created separate divisions; R&K Laboratory Packaging Technologies and R&K
Cap Lining & Decorating, both providing specialized services to their respective industries.
The original owners are the same today, Ritchie Crabb, President and Kerry Casaday, Vice President.
Ritchie has been in the packaging business since 1980 and has provided many original packaging designs
that are still used today by R&K’s customers. Kerry has been toiling diligently in the packaging
industry since 1986.

Ritchie Crabb - President
Ritchie Crabb started in the packaging business in 1981 with a small independent company where he gained a good basic knowledge of the packaging industry. He developed a customer base that he has serviced for the past 26 years. He worked for a large paper distributor for a short time, before realizing that he could better serve his customers with the smaller suppliers that could make decisions quickly rather than go through committee.
In 1984 Mr. Crabb developed some specialized packaging for medical laboratories in hospitals and reference labs. He developed and supplied a variety of “chain of custody kits” as well as specialized bags used for tracking clients. He currently has a patent pending on recyclable test tube racks. These items are currently supplied nationwide through R&K Laboratory Packaging.
In 1992, Mr. Crabb started R&K Packaging Inc. with his business partner Kerry Casaday. The goal of their company is to solve customer needs through innovation, service and cost savings. Shortly after inception, R&K started a division to line closures for tamper evidence and freshness, which has grown into an international business.
R&K’s main goal is to supply their customers with Professional Package Design, Technical Support, Quick Turnaround, Inventory Programs and Contract Fulfillment.

Kerry Casaday - Vice-President
Kerry Casaday is a founding partner of R&K Packaging. Kerry began his packaging career in 1986 as the sole employee of a small partner-owned packaging company in northern Utah. He was quickly educated regarding all aspects of the packaging industry and realized that this was the industry and career path that perfectly suited his personality and abilities. What could be better than spending everyday visiting with new customers, working on new projects and solving complex packaging issues? Of course at the tender age of 22, in 1986, everyone can be a little confused!
Kerry and partner Ritchie Crabb have become known for their packaging expertise and abilities to design packaging solutions. R&K Lining & Decorating and R&K Laboratory Packaging Technologies are fine examples of this focus.
Kerry is active in many community-related activities, serving and having served on a variety of boards and commissions including political organizations, military affair groups and volunteer organizations. Kerry currently serves as advisory board chairman for MEP-Utah and vice-chairman of the Utah State Building Board. He is also proud to be on the coaching staff of the Utah 5A Football State Champion Alta Hawks!
Kerry is married to the lovely and talented Kimberlee and is the father of five great kids.
